Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim (appropriately known as Tim and Eric) have risen their Pusswhip Banggang rock-and-roll outfit from the dead. Originally debuting in 2006, the duo toured in 2010, serenading fans with classics such as “Don’t Call Me Uncle,” “Kiss Me Once,” and “Fudge Man.” If you’re a fan, you’re in luck—they’re hitting the road again and celebrating with an exclusive picture disc of their hit “Jambalaya.” Now, we realize that jambalaya is one of the main dishes of New Orleans, and so do Tim and Eric: they’ve included a recipe with the disc for any prospective chefs out there. Pre-orders for the release start on May 20.
The dynamic duo have announced only three shows for the tour, and all in the Deep South. They’ll start off on June 20 at The Earl in Atlanta, GA, and then hit up the Bottletree Cafe in Birmingham, AL, before finishing up at Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans, LA on June 22. Tickets for all three shows are on sale now. Tim and Eric met in 1994 at Temple University, soon producing their own low-budget films and cartoons. A pilot of their film short, Tom Goes to the Mayor was greenlit by Adult Swim in 2001, and, soon after, the duo starred in Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, which ran for five seasons on the network.
