Surfer, crooner, guitar player, and all around mellow guy Jack Johnson is hitting the road this autumn to support his sixth studio album, entitled From Here to Now to You. Though the album comes out officially on September 17, it’s already cracked the iTunes Top 10 a whole three months before its release. Not bad for a guy who hasn’t released an album in three years (To The Sea hit the charts in June of 2010). The tour kicks off in Cologne, Germany, making its way through a few European dates before coming Stateside on September 22 in Canton, Massachusetts (for the Life is Good Festival). From there, Johnson will play Atlanta, Nashville, Durham, Oakland, Seattle and Santa Barbara, CA., just to name a few.
Since 2008, the always-philanthropic Johnson has donated all of his touring profits to charity, and this spin on the road is no different. His “All At Once” campaign supports more than 75 community groups with donations, with a focus on sustainable food and plastic-free initiatives. Want tickets to the tour? They’re available through a lottery system on Johnson’s official website. Good luck!
