UPDATE: Bonnaroo

This Chicago R&B man is headed down to Tennessee for a little Bonnaroo action this summer. The singer, who was on tour in late 2012, will be on the bill with acts such as Paul McCartney, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Mumford & Sons, Wu Tang Clan, Wilco and many, many others.

Set to take place June 13 through June 16 in Manchester, Tennessee, the festival consistently is regarded as one of the best music festivals each year, receiving awards from publications like GQ and Rolling Stone Magazine.

Tickets are on sale now and the best deals can be found right here at SeatGeek.

UPDATE

In a surprise bit of news, the most surprising part of which was the lack of speculation building up to it, R. Kelly announced plans to turn “Trapped in the Closet” into, naturally, a Broadway show. The rapper/hip-hopera composer made the reveal at the premier of “Closet’s” latest installment at NYC’s Sunshine Cinema last night (11/19). In a show of goodnatured self-awareness, Kelly called his musical project “silly,” saying, “I don’t have a job, so I sit in the studio all the time and think of stupid stuff to do. And this is just something stupid I’ve done that’s been successful. I’m having a lot of fun with it.” (Per: Rolling Stone)

Which makes us all the more inclined to check out the finished play product whenever it debuts. That is, if Kelly can distill his sprawling opus into a manageable timeframe. He apparently has 85 more installments in the works, with no plans on slowing production anytime soon.

“‘Trapped in the Closet’ is pretty much forever. I’ve got a leash on this thing now. I’m going to walk it,” he said.

You can be sure if and when he saunters all the way to Broadway, we’ll have tickets!

UPDATE

R. Kelly has added several dates, and re-routed others, on his ongoing Single Ladies tour. The R&B singer’s latest stops include Buffalo, NY, on December 1; Richmond, VA, on December 5; and Greensboro, NC, on December 7. The previously scheduled December 6 show in Colorado has been moved to November 25, while his Indiana performance, initially slated for December 7, has been canceled altogether. Take a look at R. Kelly’s full itinerary below, as well as our list of ticket links!
