UPDATE: Coachella

With plans to play huge festivals across the globe this year – Isle of Wight in the United Kingdom, Australia’s Future Music Festival and Sonic Mania Festival in Tokyo – The Stone Roses have been added as headliners to one of the biggest festivals here in the United States – Coachella.

Set to take place April 12-14 and April 19-21 in Indio, California, the festival will feature the British band on April 12 and April 19, the Friday night of each weekend. The band joins the other headliners scheduled to perform throughout the festival – Blur, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Phoenix.

Tickets for Coachella go on sale January 29.

UPDATE

With all the news that surrounded the Stone Roses over the past couple of years – from the reunion in October 2011 to their ceasing of touring in August 2012 to their now new plans to take on the festival circuit in 2013, one should have documented everything. Oh wait, that actually happened and a documentary is coming to bring it all to the public.

In a scoop by NME, British filmmaker Shane Meadows is currently in the process of editing over 350 hours of footage from the time frame above for a documentary set to be released in mid-year.

As we have highlighted earlier in 2012, the band is set to play shows in London and Glasgow in 2013 as well as a headlining appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival in June.

UPDATE

The Stone Roses are adding a little Isle of Wight headlining action to their 2013 tour plans. In an announcement this week, the Manchester rock legends revealed that their only United Kingdom festival appearance in 2013 will take place on June 14 on the main stage. The band joins Bon Jovi in a headliner role, the latter closing the June 16 show on the main stage as well.

Tickets for the festival go on sale November 28 and the best deals on all Isle of Wight tickets can be found right here at SeatGeek.

UPDATE

Add a gig in Dubai of all places to The Stones Roses 2013 tour plans. Scheduled for February 21 at the Media City Amphitheatre, the show will be a one-off show before they head out to Australia for the month of March.

Tickets for this Dubai show are on sale now. With the 2013 tour continuing to expand, keep checking back here as we update you with the latest dates for The Stone Roses – particularly for North American dates, which have yet to be announced.

UPDATE

With March concerts in Australia already on the tour schedule, the Stone Roses have now booked shows in both Glasgow and London to take place in June 2013. The band will play two gigs in London’s Finsbury Park on June 7 and 8 followed by a show at Glasgow Green on June 15.

In an interesting tidbit, the band entered the Guinness World Book Of Records for the fastest selling rock concerts in UK history when the 220,000 tickets for their Heaton Park comeback gigs at the end of June and beginning of July of this year sold out in only 68 minutes.

Tickets for these new shows in London and Glasgow go on sale to the general public on June 13.

With the band appearing to have to plans to consistently tour in 2013, we’ll bring any new information on additional tour dates around the globe.
