Arise Music Festival is back in Colorado for the second year in a row, and from August 8-10 the Sunrise Ranch in Loveland will play host to bands like Beats Antique, Galactic, The Infamous Stringdusters, Groundation and Tribal Seeds (and a heck of a lot more). But the stellar lineup and genre-bending musicians aren’t the only thing to look forward to during this three-day love fest. From yoga to yummy food, storytelling to belly dancing, we’ve compiled a list of the 10 best things to do at Arise Festival besides see live music.

Listen to Peter Yarrow’s Storytelling & Songs

Peter Yarrow–one third of the folk-singing trio Peter, Paul & Mary–will sit down with his daughter Bethany and cellist Rufus Cappadocia for an hour of story telling and music. A fierce activist and the brains behind hits like “Day is Done,” “Light One Candle” and of course, “Puff the Magic Dragon,” this event is great for attendees of all ages.

Drink Delicious Beer

Indulge in yummy Colorado craft beers on tap all weekend at Arise Festival, ready to quench your pallet after a long day of boogying. All local brews and some of the finest in the state. Don’t forget your ID!

Attend Bridgette Mars’ Herbal Medicine Workshops

Herbalist, author and raw food chef Bridgette Mars will be leading three different herbal workshops through Arise Festival weekend. This will include an “herb walk,” as well as herbal folk medicine and herbs as natural first aid remedies.

View Art Installations by Bruce Campbell

Using various combinations of welding, carving, painting and engraving, Bruce Campbell has made a name for himself designing larger-than-life installations on salvaged industrial forms using all recycled materials. His artwork will be on display at Arise Festival for the second year in a row.

What’s a festival without delicious munchies? A wide variety of food vendors will be on site, including local and regional trucks, stands and carts.

Daily Yoga with Live Music

Due to its popularity last year, daily yoga classes accompanied by live music will be available on the festy grounds. Are you a newbie to the exercise? No worries–all levels of experience and a variety of styles will be taught.

Learn to Belly Dance

After you’re inspired by the belly dancing in Beats Antique, get started learning this incredible form of movement at Arise’s five-class belly dance series offered on Saturday and Sunday. (Offered for beginning to tribal.)

Get Your Caffeine Fix at The StarBar

Best way to recover from a night of dancing and partying? Hit up the StarBar for coffee, tea and “elixers.” There will also be open mic jams and secret live performances throughout.

Hit Up the Healers Tent

Reiki treatments and massages will be available during the day in the healers tent on the festival grounds. Loosen up those joints and get your body ready for maximum noodle dancing.
