Pitchfork Music Festival Will Return to Chi-Town for 8th Year
Update: Pitchfork Music Festival 2013 Lineup
2013 headliners have finally been announced, with Belle & Sebastian, Bjork and R. Kelly making the bill. Tickets for the event are on sale now – be sure to check back here for more lineup updates as they’re revealed!
Pitchfork Music Festival, the annual summer festy hosted by none other than Pitchfork Magazine, is back for its eighth year. Tickets for the event went on sale last week, and their limited three-day holiday passes have already sold out. Limited indeed! While the discounted tix may already be gone, folks still have plenty of time to pick up regularly priced tickets, which start at $120 bucks a pop. Or, you can conveniently purchase a cheap pair for yourself and that someone special through SeatGeek by scrolling to the bottom of this post! The festival has announced that it will run through Friday, July 19 – Sunday, July 21, but the lineup won’t be revealed until January. It will still be held at Chicago’s famed Union Park.
Much like the magazine, Pitchfork Music Festival features artists spanning all genres, including alt-rock, rap & hip-hop, electronica and dance. It features some of the biggest names in contemporary music, and some of last year’s performers included A$AP Rocky, Beach House, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and Grimes. With the audience for this event growing exponentially each year, one can only hope that the lineup for the 2013 season will be even sweeter than the last.
