Pointfest Bringing Alternative Rock Back to St. Louis in 2013
Pointfest: The festival so nice, they have to hold it twice! Pointfest has been rocking the socks off of St. Louis, MO-dwellers since 1993, when it was started by the 105.7 KPNT The Point radio station in St. Louis. Due to massive popularity, they began hosting it twice a summer: once in May and once in September. Held at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, the festy has featured almost every popular band of the ’90s and ’00s. Most recently, Rob Zombie, Megadeth, Incubus and Awolnation made appearances, as well as local acts like Skillet, RED and Jamie Grace.
Tickets for the two-day affair start at just $25, with single-day and lawn tickets available as well as more expensive weekend packages. And like any good festy, besides an awesome lineup there is also an awesome list of vendors and activities available for attendees to enjoy. Last year, Jagermeister, McDonalds and Planned Parenthood set up shop on the festival grounds (ya know, after some Jager and Mickey Ds things tend to get a little crazy). Also, folks had a change to participate in the Zombie Survival Dash and perhaps get tatted up by the people over at Art Monster tattoo shop. Tickets for the event generally go on sale in March, so check back to SeatGeek and don’t miss out!
