What do you get when you mix traditional folk instruments with classic punk-rock tunes? Why, Adrian Edmondson & The Bad Sheperds, of course! The trio, who utilize the mandolin, uilleann pipes and the fiddle, play covers of classic punk-rock songs and turn them into a corn-husking, string-plucking good time. Don’t believe me? See for yourself when they head out on tour in 2013. The trio have just announced dates for the United Kingdom slated for the end of next year. Because it’s a ways away, you’ll have plenty of time to bust out your old Sex Pistols vinyl and brush up on your punk knowledge.

The eight-date stint comes to a close on December 14, with another London performance, this time at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire. Adrian Edmondson & the Bad Sheperds have also been working on material for a new album, so expect to hear some new punk-rock reinventions while they’re on the road.
