UPDATE: St. Patrick’s Day

The Allman Brothers Band have expanded their 2013 residency at the Beacon Theatre with the addition of a show on the greenest of all holidays – St. Patrick’s Day.

The new show brings the total of concerts during their annual run at the Beacon to 11. The residency now runs March 1-2, 5-6, 8-9, 12-13 and 15-17.

Tickets for the new show go on sale to the general public starting on February 1. So if you are in and around NYC for St. Paddy’s Day, grab your green sweater, maybe a leprechaun you may have as a friend and head on out to the Beacon for some classic rock courtesy of the Allman Brothers Band.

Allman Brothers Beacon Theatre 2013

And so the tradition continues: The Allman Brothers will once again command NYC’s Beacon Theatre stage for 10 shows this March. The band’s Beacon Theatre Run, as it’s come to be known, has been a staple of the group’s touring circuit since their first mini-residency at the famed venue back in 1989. According to the ensemble’s elucidating Wikipedia page (aren’t they all), The Allman Brothers have performed a whopping 188 sold-out shows at the NYC Beacon, that grande dame of concert halls, in the past 24 years. That’s almost a quarter of a century’s worth of classic rock (gently) shaking the Beacon’s hallowed walls, with both the band and the building becoming more classic with each passing year.

The concerts will take place over 15 days, from March 1 to March 16. Officially speaking, tickets don’t go on sale until January 11, however, the secondary market’s never been one to march behind officials, or get behind their on-sale dates. We’ve got a host of ticket links available now – as well as info on historical Allman Brothers ticket prices, and a chart listing past setlist info, should you feel overwhelmed by the band’s catalogue, and would like to know which songs in particular to revisit before their performances (fans of all genres like sing-alongs, too). Expect some “Mountain Jam,” and a rendition of “Don’t Want You No More” or “Blue Sky” – but as the rockers have yet to confirm their song selections, there might be a “Jessica” or “Ramblin’ Man” curveball thrown in there, too.

Can’t make a single one of the Allman Brothers’ 10 NYC Beacon Theatre shows? Don’t worry, they’ve got a few more concerts lined up for 2013: Click here for our full list of Allman Brothers Band ticket links.
