Time To Dance! Bassnectar Announces “Immersive Music Tour”
EDM-philes, listen up! The one and only Bassnectar (aka Lorin Ashton) has recently announced plans to embark on the biggest and most ambitious live shows of his career, set to kick off this fall. Dubbed the “Immersive Music Tour”, this 17-date trek is set to, in the words of Bassnectar himself, “bring you the most immersive… experience possible.” Sounds pretty cool, huh? On the menu is enhanced production, audience immersion, and a ton of special effects. So where is he playing? Oh, Oakland, California; Reno, Nevada; San Jose, California; Montreal, Quebec; Toronto, Ontario, and more. Want in? Tickets are on sale July 19 and 20 to the general public.
Though he’s mostly known as an EDM artist, Bassnectar‘s original musical influences include rock bands such as Metallica, Megadeth, and Nirvana, and he played bass in a death metal band early in his career. He developed his DJing skills playing at hours parties in the Bay Area, performing as Bassnectar for the first time in 2002. Since then, he’s gained commercial acclaim, a ton of fans, and a who’s who of music list of collaborators.
