Apparently 48 shows across four different countries have not provided enough rocking for American musician Brad Paisley. The 2008 CMA and ACM Male Vocalist of the Year winner announced on November 13 that he has added a new portion to his 6-month long “Beat This Summer” tour. The extension of the tour – predictably named the “Beat This Winter,” – is a 13-date jaunt set to start January 9 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, and conclude on March 1 at the Charleston Civic Center. Just as he was for the entirety of the first leg of the tour, fellow country artist Chris Young and The Voice winner Danielle Bradbery will back Paisley on the mainly east-coast line of shows.
The ultra talented and increasingly popular Paisley released his ninth studio album, Wheelhouse, in April, which topped the rankings of U.S. Billboard’s Top Country Albums and reached No. 2 overall on US Billboard Top Country Albums. Paisley won the Entertainer of the Year award at the 44th annual CMA Awards on November 10, 2010, and has released a book he co-wrote talking about his introduction to the music industry. Paisley, who has been praised for his diversity of country styles throughout his 14 years in the music industry, is renowned for enriching his music with humor and pop culture references.
