The Byzantine Tour

Byzantine has just announced dates for their fall tour. The band, formed in 2000 in West Virginia, will be making stops in support of their newest album, self-titled album. Fans will be happy to know that former lead guitarist Brian Henderson has returned, while the band has acquired a new bassist in Sean Snydor. Rounding out the member lineup are current band mates Matt Wolfe and Chris Ojeda. Byzantine’s music has been classified as heavy metal since they got their start over a decade ago; while the band has gone through several iterations the music their fans love has generally remained the same. Ojeda, who goes by “OJ,” has characterized the band’s music as a blend of both “chaos and melody.”

Although their fall tour is pretty short, the shows promise to exceed the expectations of the group’s lifelong fans. The tour kicked off with the band’s first show at Ripper’s Rock House in Akron, OH, on September 20. Indianapolis fans can catch the band at Old National Centre on September 21. Making a stop in their hometown, Byzantine will be playing at The Blue Parrot in Charleston, WV, in mid-October before heading north. On October 16, the band will grace Brooklyn with a show at Club Europa. The last few dates announced will see the band in Virginia with shows in Richmond and Chesapeake.
