Coheed and Cambria, masters of the concept album, is crossing the pond later this year. In conjunction with Arcane Roots, Hawk Eyes, and Battle Lines, Coheed and Cambria will be making a few stops across the UK this November. The band, whose current members include Claudio Sanchez, Travis Stever, Josh Eppard, and Zach Cooper, got their start in the mid-90s and have since released seven studio albums, all of which tell a science fiction story. Their newest is a double album; the first part is titled The Afterman: Ascension and the second The Afterman: Descension. Carrying on the Amory Wars storyline of the previous six albums, this one focuses on the eponymous character, Sirius Amory.
Given that the album debuted at #3 and #64 in the UK Rock Album Chart and UK Albums Chart, respectively, it’s fitting that the band has shows planned throughout the UK. With almost nightly shows over the course of a week, Coheed and Cambria will be making stops in Coventry at Kasbah Night Club, London at Alexandra Palace, and Liverpool at the O2 Academy. Edinburgh’s Liquid Room and Cardiff’s Solus will be the last few shows on 11/20 and 11/21.
