Fans of Deer Tick have a lot to look forward to this summer and fall: your favorite indie rock slash faux country band will be on tour this summer across the US and Canada. The Providence-based band, formed in 2004, has steadily cranked out albums since then. Their most recent is Negativity, which was released in 2013 and has garnered nothing by positive reviews for the past year. It is the foundation of their tour this summer and with a large number of stops, including at several festivals, the positive praise will continue flowing in.

The tour kicked off in Orlando on May 13 at The Social before heading north to Charleston, Asheville, Charlottesville and the next stop will be Timber Ridge, VT at The Friendly Gathering music festival on June 27. From there, the group will play several Canadian shows in Toronto on July 3 and 4 at the Urban Roots Festival, Ottawa at the Ottawa Blues Fest, and Montreal on July 6. August shows will include Los Angeles at Echoplex on August 7, San Francisco on August 9, and Telluride, CO at Club Red on August 14. The tours final stops will be in the Midwest with stops in Iowa City, Omaha, and finally Chicago at Metro on August 23.
