Earl Sweatshirt takes Doris on a ‘Wearld Tour’
Earl Sweatshirt Tour
While American rapper Earl Sweatshirt‘s music career has not lasted long, it has certainly seen its fair share of accomplishments. Earl, his debut studio album, was self-released in 2010. In 2012, he was featured on Frank Ocean‘s track, “Super Rich Kids.” In 2013, his second studio album, Doris, topped the Billboard Hip Hop charts and critics such as NPR and Pitchfork named “Chum” and “Sunday” one of their top 100 songs of 2013, respectively. So what’s a musician to do with all of this recent success? Misspell “world” and take a tour around the globe, of course–although the tour is a bit of a misnomer considering that the Wearld Tour will only be making stops in Australia, North America, and Europe.
Starting on January 12, 2014, Earl Sweatshirt will perform at the Aggie Theatre in Ft. Collins, CO, and Cervantes in Denver, CO, on January 14. The tour will gain speed in New Zealand and Australia, where he will hit the Laneway Festivals in both Auckland, NZ, on January 27 and Sydney, AU, on February 4. Follow Earl Sweatshirt as the tour circles back to North America and he plays at the House of Vans in Boston, MA, on February 19 and Webster Hall in New York, NY, on February 20. The last leg of the Wearld Tour will consist of European stops, including Debaser Strand in Stolkholm, SE, on March 9 and Trabendo in Paris, FR, on March 19, and will conclude in Dublin, IE, on March 26.
