Ed Sheeran Tour

Soft-spoken singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran will stay in his native UK this fall for a string of local shows. Kicking off October 8 at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena, Sheeran will also play shows in Leeds, London (with two shows at The O2), Birmingham, Nottingham, Newcastle, Manchester, and Glasgow. The tour is in support of the February 17 release of Sheeran’s still-unnamed new album, the follow-up to his 2011 debut. Tickets for this short tour go on sale on January 10. Not on that side of the pond? Sheeran is sure to announce more dates soon.

Despite the fact he’s only released one album, Ed Sheeran has had a quick rise to the top. His 2011 debut album, +, has spawned six UK Top 40 singles, including “Lego House”, “Drunk”, and “A-Team”. Sheeran has also penned hits for mega pop star Taylor Swift (with whom he sang on the track and toured with for mostly all of 2013) and British boy band One Direction, as well as a track for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug called “I See Fire”. He’s also been nominated beside James Blake and Kendrick Lamar for the 2014 Grammy Award for Best New Artist.
