Calling all 90’s music lovers! American indie-rock band, Eels, have just announced their 2013 world tour dates. The band will play 50 live shows all across the United States and Europe, from Santa Ana, CA, all the way to Holland and Paris, FR, making stops at famous venues such as The Fillmore, Webster Hall, Brighton Dome, Rock City, Paradiso, Le Trianon, etc. Never heard of Eels? Their music has that same soothing, ear-pleasing rock sound likened to such musicians as Beck, Cake, Neil Yong, Ben Folds, Yo La Tengo, Paul Simon, The Kinks… you get the idea.

The band, formed by lead singer/songwriter, Mark Oliver Everest (“E”) in 1996, debuted with their album Beautiful Freak. The album birthed the MTV hit, “ Novacaine for the Soul,” which earned three MTV Video Music Award nominations and a Brit Award in the UK. The band has churned out eight albums since, including Hombre Lobo (Spanish for “werewolf,” FYI) in 2009, the heavy heartache saga, End Times in 2010, followed by a more optimistic and cheery 2010 album, Tomorrow Morning. The Eels are responsible for the 2008 soundtrack to the Jim Carrey film, Yes Man. In more recent exciting news, the band’s website announced that a new album, Wonderful, Glorious, will be released Feb 5th, 2013.
