Experimental rapper/producer/DJ Flying Lotus has just announced plans for a follow-up to 2012’s Until the Quiet Comes. You’re Dead, as the record is being called, will hit shelves this fall. Lotus is, of course, touring in support of this new album, with dates kicking off on October 9 at The Beacham in Orlando, FL. From Orlando, Lotus will head to Miami, FL; Atlanta, GA; Carrboro, NC; Washington, D.C.; New York, NY (at Terminal 5); Boston, MA; Montreal, QC; Austin, TX (for Fun Fun Fun Fest); Portland, OR; and Seattle, WA, among others. The tour culminates in a show in Denver, CO at the Fillmore Auditorium on November 22, just in time for Flying Lotus to be home for Thanksgiving. He’s also got a busy summer, with festival dates at Ceremonia Festival, Summer Set Music Festival, and FYF Fest. Tickets for the fall tour dates go on sale this Friday, July 25.

Born Steven Ellison in Los Angeles, CA, Flying Lotus has released four studio albums—2006’s 1983; 2008’s Los Angeles; 2010’s Cosmogramma; and 2012’s Until the Quiet Comes. Fun fact: Flying Lotus has produced much of the bumper music (that is, the music in between shows) that you hear on the Adult Swim programming block on Cartoon Network.
