Glastonbury Festival is Back With Stones Headliner
UPDATE: Rolling Stones
The Rolling Stones have just confirmed that they will be the headliners for this year’s Glastonbury Festival. Jagger teased at the possibility in an interview with NME earlier this year, and after the news broke the frontman Tweeted: “Can’t wait to play Glastonbury. I have my wellies and my yurt!” Guitarist Keith Richards also added, “We all had such a ball last year, and the energy between the band is so good, we can’t wait to play Glastonbury, see you on a summer’s day in England.” The full line-up includes Primal Scream, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Elvis Costello and Mumford & Sons.

Joining The Rolling Stones as rumored headliners at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, Rihanna is apparently in talks to close the festival on the Pyramid Stage on June 30. She would join Beyonce, who did the same thing back in 2011.
The festival is set for June 26 through June 30 at Worthy Farm in the small town of Somerset, England.
According to NME, Rihanna in the past has stated, “I have heard so many things about what happens there. I love rock music. I love Kings Of Leon and The Prodigy. The music is awesome. I like the more traditional rock bands, too – Aerosmith and Bon Jovi. I think I could rock Glastonbury, no question.”

Glastonbury Festival 2013
After taking a hiatus for last year’s Olympic games, Glastonbury Festival is back. The four-day extravaganza will be held from June 26-30 this year, and rumors are swirling that the Rolling Stones could be headlining the event. Not only did the band “pass” on Coachella, but in a recent interview with NME magazine, Jagger teased, “There are other things in the world apart from Glastonbury! But then again, Glastonbury is very important. It seems to be very important to my children – highlight of their year.” Could Daddio Jagger have something up his sleeve? We hope so!
Also in the Glastonbury rumor mill are Daft Punk, another group who are absent from the Coachella lineup. Although, festival organizer Emily Eaves is staunch in her statement that Daft Punk will NOT be added to the lineup. For those burning with curiosity, check the Glastonbury official website closer to the festival when the lineup will be officially released.
