Fomer Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock – you know, the one that was replaced by Sid Vicious – has announced a North American acoustic tour slated for the rest of October and early November. The tour kicks off on October 13 at Ontario’s Bovine Sex Club, and is followed by several Canadian gigs. Matlock finally touches down in America on October 21 with a performance at Whiskey A Go-Go in Los Angeles, CA. He’ll also spend time in Oregon, Colorado and Florida, before hitting up New York City on November 7 with a performance at The Cutting Room. The tour finale takes place the following day at The Middle East in Boston, MA.

Although Matlock wasn’t in The Sex Pistols as long as some other members, he still played a large roll in the success of the band, co-writing and recording a portion of Never Mind the Bollocks and Here’s the Sex Pistols. He’s also enjoyed a successful solo career, and most recently released an album with his band, Glen Matlock & the Philistines, titled Born Running, back in 2010. In true punk-rock fashion, it’s been rumored that Matlock was kicked out of the Sex Pistols for “liking The Beatles,” a claim which he denies.
