Global Citizen Festival 2013

Do you like helping people? Do you also like music? And the green, green grass of New York City’s Central Park? Well, we’ve got the festival for you: The Global Citizen Festival (slightly renamed from last year’s Global Festival) is returning for a second year! This time around, the headliners come from all walks of life and all different genres of music, with Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, Alicia Keys, and Kings of Leon set to perform. Want to go? Keeping reading and we’ll tell you how.

So what’s this Global Citizen Festival all about? This is being billed as a “free ticketed festival”, so while it won’t cost you any dough to get in, you still have to get a ticket (and perform some philanthropy). It’s about people helping people, and to get a ticket, you, well, have to help people. Complete a variety of tasks on the festival’s website, and you can go to the show. You can “take action and earn points” (as the site says) in four categories: education, health, women’s equality, and global partner ships. Get enough points, and you can be entered into a lottery to see these killer performers (and more) for free. You can find out more about tickets at the festival’s website. Now that’s a show to feel good about.
