New York City venue Governors Beach Club, which is located on Governor’s Island (an isle in the Upper New York Bay and a mile from the southern tip of Manhattan), has just announced the lineup for its “Governor’s Island Seafood & Music Beach Party” on September 6 and it sounds like rockin’ way for New Yorkers to close out the Summer. So far, the acts that have been announced to perform include reggae collective Easy Star All-Stars (who’ll be performing their Pink-Floyd-inspired album Dub Side of the Moon), Badfish (a Sublime tribute band), Alan Evans’ Playonbrother, Superhuman Happiness, Spiritual Rez, CCB (who’ll be performing a Bob Marley tribute), Jimmy Kenny Band, Hot Lava and DJ Cochon de Lait.

The Governor’s Island Seafood & Music Beach Party goes down on September 6 from 2PM to 10PM and will feature two stages to host its impressive music lineup. There will also be craft beer and plenty of tasty seafood–after all, it is in the event’s name, including lobster rolls, oysters, shrimp cocktails and more. Oh, and there will be a giant sand beach with sweet views of the city. Everyone over the age of five and up is welcome. Sorry, 4 1/2-year-olds.
