Are you sitting down, indie rock fans? Two of your favorites are hitting the road this fall, and they’re doing it together. Sebadoh and Thurston Moore have announced a co-headlining tour. Kicking off at the Biltmore Cabaret in Vancouver, BC on October 3, the tour will play shows in Seattle, WA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Cruz, CA; Los Angeles, CA; and Santa Ana, CA. Sorry, East Coasters—today is not your lucky day. Both acts are touring throughout the summer and fall by themselves, but these are the only dates they’re playing in conjunction. Sebadoh is supporting their reunion record, 2013’s Defend Yourself, and Thurston Moore’s newest release, The Best Day, should be on the shelves by the time the tour begins. Visit the band’s respective websites for information on ticketing and on-sale dates.

Thurston Moore is best known as the singer, songwriter, and guitarist of Sonic Youth, and he was ranked at No. 34 on Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”. He started a new band, Chelsea Light Moving, in 2012. Originally comprised of Low Barlow and Eric Gaffney, Sebadoh got their start in 1986, pioneering lo-fi music with bands like Pavement.
