Irish singer/songwriter James Vincent McMorrow has revealed that he’ll be hitting the road stateside in November. McMorrow lands in the U.S. of A on November 1 at the Kessler in Dallas. From there, it’s on to shows in Austin, Nashville, Atlanta and North Carolina. He’ll play the Lincoln Theatre in Washington D.C. on November 8, followed by Town Hall in New York on November 10. After that, McMorrow will head on to shows at the House of Blues in Chicago on November 12, First Avenue in Minneapolis on November 13, the Neptune in Seattle on November 16, the Aladdin in Portland on November 17 and the Fillmore in San Francisco on November 19. He’ll finish up at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles on November 20.
Drawing inspiration from singer/songwriters of the 1970s, McMorrow honed his musical style playing pubs in Ireland and released his debut album, Early in the Morning, to much critical praise and European commercial success in 2010. His most recent release, 2013’s Post Tropical, featured a change in style with the addition of horns and more of a synth sound.
