Update: J. Lo to Star in New 3D Film

She’s no stranger to the silver screen, but Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming 3D movie will be the first to feature the triple-threat entertainer in an autobiographical role. Lopez plans to star in Dance Again, a documentary-style film in the vein of Katy Perry’s Part of Me, Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never, the Jonas Brothers’ Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience, and the most successful of the bunch, Miley Cyrus’ Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: The Best of Both Worlds. Chronicling the past year in the life of La Lopez, highlights may include the singer’s stint on American Idol, divorce from Marc Anthony, and clips from her current world tour of the same name. According to Rolling Stone, the tenacious 3D concert-film fad isn’t just for pop stars: hardcore rockers Metallica have also reportedly signed on to star in their own 3D movie.

Update: Aussie Concerts Added

Ongoing in her quest for a total world takeover, Jennifer Lopez has added a series of Australian tour dates slated for December. The five shows will be the first the former American Idol judge has ever performed in the region, a career milestone befitting Forbes Magazine’s “Most Powerful Celebrity.”

Update: Jennifer Lopez Tour Loses Wisin y Yandel

Citing the music industry’s version of irreconcilable differences, “unresolvable production issues,” Latin-music pair Wisin y Yandel have officially dropped out of Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias’ North American tour. Apparently, the conditions under which the JLo/Iglesias shows are being produced are not compatible with Wisin y Yandel’s own vision: according to the release, the group’s management “informed them of the impossibility of producing the show they’re accustomed to offering.”

“Our sincerest apologies go out to our fans,” the duo’s statement read. They did, however, promise to release a set of personal tour dates “in the very near future” to compensate for their followers’ loss.

Jennifer Lopez Tour 2012

Jennifer Lopez is thinking big: after the front-page scandals (broken engagement! divorce! this photo with P. Diddy!), the high-profile TV gigs, and the rom-com fizzles, JLo is refusing to look anywhere but up – over, and across the Atlantic, to be exact.

The former B-girl turned media impresario recently announced the European and Middle Eastern dates to her “Dance Again” world tour promoting her most recent album of the same name. JLo addressed her fans (or “LOVE!RS,” which we’re assuming are kind of like Lady Gaga’s “monsters,” only dyed pink) via her website Wednesday. The announcement also teased an upcoming “Dance Again” Tour Feed, which will see the triple-threat artist blogging her way through the Continent.

JLo’s European jaunt will span October-late November, coming at the tail end of a six-month tour that includes performances alongside Enrique Iglesias and Wisin y Yandel. Below, the full list of solo and collaborative dates:
