Despite his impressive pedigree (he’s the son of musical legend Steve Earle), Justin Townes Earle has created quite the career for himself, and all of his own accord. He’s just announced plans for his latest release, an LP called Single Mothers, due out September 9 via Vagrant Records. To support this new album (his first since 2012’s Nothing’s Gonna Change the Way You Feel About Me Now, Earle is hitting the road for a North American tour through October. He’ll start off in Aurora, IL at the Two Brothers Summer Festival on June 20, and then hit cities like Portsmouth, NH; Kingston, NY; Nashville, TN; New York, NY; Columbus, OH; Durham, NC; Boston, MA; Madison, WI; and Boulder, CO. The tour culminates in a show at Belly Up in Solano Beach, CA on October 7. Tickets for some dates are on sale now.

Born in Nashville in 1982, Justin Townes Earle has released five albums since his 2007 debut, Yuma. His 2012 album Nothing’s Gonna Change the Way You Feel About Me Now, was listed at #37 on Rolling Stone’s list of the Top 50 Albums of 2012. Earle has played his share of big-time gigs, ranging from dates at the Grand Ole Opry to sets at South by Southwest and Bonnaroo.
