Rock duo The Kills have just announced their plans for this summer and they’ll be playing shows around the world. The pair will kick things off at the Cannery Ballroom in Nashville on May 30 and then make their way South with shows in New Orleans and Houston and eventually across the border into Mexico. They’ll then fly to Canada for shows in Montreal and Toronto, before playing the Governors Ball Music Festival in New York on June 8. After a show in Dublin on June 26, they’ll jet back across the Atlantic to play Boston on July 8 and Quebec City on July 10, and then head back to Europe for shows in France and Italy. The twosome will finish the summer at the Super Bock Super Rock Festival in Sesimbra, Portugal.

Comprised of American singer Alison Mosshart and British guitarist Jamie Hince — although the two “renamed” themselves “VV”(Mosshart) and “Hotel”(Hince) at the start of their collaboration — The Kills are known for their mix of punk, rock, and blues. They’ve released four albums since 2003, earning praise from critics along the way. Their most recent album, 2011’s Blood Pressures, charted in nine countries and cracked the top 40 charts in both the US and the UK.
