Lady Gaga’s Anti-Bullying Campaign

She may be the world’s biggest popstar, but there’s more to Lady Gaga than thumping club tracks and outlandish sartorial stunts. Stefani Germanotta, the woman behind the persona, has an altruistic side that shows through in songs like the quirk-affirming “Born This Way,” and now her nonprofit of the same name.

Launched this past March, the Born This Way Foundation will soon become familiar to the singer’s North American fans. Gaga recently announced the addition of NA tour dates to her enormous, international Monster’s Ball Tour, which will also feature a prominent Born This Way Foundation initiative: the Born to be Brave Bus. The tour bus forLady Gaga fans is intended as a safe space for little monsters of all backgrounds to “come and hang out and talk about love, acceptance or kindness,” Gaga explained at the foundation’s launch party.

“It’s going to be, essentially, a tailgate,” she added.

The Born to Be Brave bus will make stops along the superstar’s tour through the end of the year, and into the latest set of 2013 tour dates. For more info on Lady Gaga’s upcoming concerts, check us out here.

Lady Gaga Born This Way Foundation Info

The Born This Way Foundation is a joint effort between Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, founded in 2011. The two women have identified three pillars essential to the mission of their organization: Safety (establishing a safe space for individual expression), Skills (providing the necessary tools for personal empowerment) and Opportunity (offering members the chance to step up, and stand out, as leaders in their communities). For more information on how you can become a part of Gaga’s Born Brave Nation, visit the official website here.
