Update

Coming off the heels of Les Claypool’s announcement that he’ll embark on a “Duo de Twang” tour later this year, the bassist will also be joining his band Primus on a summer tour that will kick off right where his solo jaunt leaves off. The tour sees the undeniably odd band throughout the West and southern coasts, plus a few gigs throughout Canada. Primus has also announced some upcoming festival stints: Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, WA, on May 26, and Mountain Jam in Hunter, NY, on June 6. The tour wraps up on June 9 in North Tonawanda, NY.

Previous News

Possibly one of the finest bass players of our time, Les Claypool, has announced a string of tour dates. Currently, his “Duo de Twang” tour features stops mostly on the West Coast and in the South, although he’ll round out the stint with a few East Coast shows. Hopefully more dates will be announced soon, as well as some more concert details. Having recently toured with his 3D experience show, and before that an elaborate stage set-up for his Primus tour, fans have come to expect anything but the ordinary from this prolific musician.

The tour kicks off on March 20 with a show in San Rafael, CA, at Terrapin Crossroads. This is the first of three stops in the massive state, and folks living in L.A. and Pioneertown (wait, where is that?) can also snag tickets to the gigs. On April 19, Les will hit up the festy circuit with a slot at Wanee Music Festival in Live Oak, FL, which features the musical stylings of the Allman Brothers and Michael Franti. The tour wraps up with a show at The Gramercy Theatre in New York, NY, on April 28. Tickets for the tour go on sale tomorrow.
