Swedish chanteuse Lykke Li had summer plans to pop around North America at a few of our favorite festivals, and now she’s connecting the dots and making a late summer tour of it, all in support of her latest album, I Never Learn. She’ll kick off her North American shows at Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL on August 1, and then head to Montreal, QC for the Osheaga Festival on August 2. After two more festival appearances (Squamish Valley Music Festival and Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival), she’ll start playing regular shows in Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; San Diego, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Toronto, ON; Boston, MA; New York, NY; Atlanta, GA; and Miami, FL; before jetting off to Europe. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.

Soprano Lykke Li was born Li Lykke Timotej Svensson Zachrisson in Ystad, Sweden (we think Lykke Li is easier to pronounce). Her music combines elements of alternative, pop, and electronic, and she loves using off-the-beaten-path instruments like cellos and saxophones in her tunes. Li’s music influences include Neil Young, The Beatles, and Rolling Stones, along with Beach House and The Velvet Underground. She’s released three studio albums since her debut, Youth Novels, in 2008.
