Reggae-rapper Matisyahu is on the road to support his latest (and fifth) album, Akeda, and he’s more than likely coming to a city or festival near you. He kicked off the tour with a release show on June 4 in Los Angeles, CA at The Grammy Museum, and from LA he’s headed to Honolulu, HI; Maui, HI; Asbury Park, NJ (at the famous Stone Pony); Baltimore, MD; Long Island, NY; Hampton Beach, NH; Del Mar, CA; Milwaukee, WI (for Summerfest); Salt Lake City, UT; Redding, CA; Jacksonville, OR; Saratoga, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Wilmington, NC; Asheville, NC; Toronto, ON; and many, many more. This six-month tour (seriously) ends on November 13 in Pensacola, FL at the Vinyl Music Hall. Joining Matisyahu on the tour are Radical Something and Ozomatli, depending on your tour date and city. Matthew Paul Miller is better known as Hebrew and stage name Matisyahu, meaning “Gift of God”. He’s known for blending together themes of his Orthodox Judaism with reggae, rock, and hip hop to create his own sound. Matisyahu exploded onto the rap scene in 2005 with single “King Without a Crown”, and since 2004, he has released four studio albums, two live albums, two remix albums, and two DVDs of his live concerts.
