Canadian crooner Michael Buble has announced that he’ll return home to Canada in the summer of 2014 for an eight-city, two-week tour in support of his latest album, To Be Loved. The record – platinum certified twice in his native land – will probably fuel a bulk of the 2014 Michael Buble tour dates, but he certainly has plenty of other hits to weave into his setlists and keep his fellow Canadians on their toes. The first 2014 Michael Buble Canadian concert will be in his native British Columbia on June 19 in Vancouver’s Rogers Arena. Two stops in Alberta, one in Manitoba, and three more in Ontario will take place before the final 2014 Michael Buble Canadian tour date on July 4 in Montreal’s Bell Centre.
Buble, of course, is the three-time Grammy Award-winning pop star who broke onto the music scene 10 years ago, after initially being discovered when he was a wedding singer. Sadly, the 28-year-old will not be donning any Adam Sandler-esque mullet wigs or covering your favorite rock ballads from the ’80s. Instead, the hallmark of his live performance continues to be his voice, with a distinct smoothness that harkens back to Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. While his own original songwriting and albums have garnered plenty of sales and accolades, no fan complains when he belts out classic covers from his Christmas album or those of artists including Eric Clapton and Van Morrison, among many others.
