ABC’s Nashville wrapped up filming its second season earlier this year, and it seems as though some of its cast are staying busy until season three starts. Charles Esten (aka Deacon Claybourne and also a member of the original Whose Line Is It Anyway?, I know your mind is blown) is setting off on his own headlining summer tour. He’ll start off on July 4 at Freedom Over Texas in Houston, TX, and then continue through Nashville, TN (of course); Janesville, WI; Keterring, OH; Indianapolis, IN (for the Indiana State Fair); Chicago, IL; Des Moines, IA (at the Iowa State Fair); and finish in Park City, UT on August 23. Joining Esten for select dates is Clare Bowen, who plays his niece, Scarlett, on the show. For ticketing information, check out Esten’s Twitter or website.

Esten isn’t the only one who has toured live with the music of Nashville. Bowen, Jonathan Jackson (who plays Avery), Sam Palladio (who plays Gunnar), and Chris Carmack (who plays Will) all toured with Esten earlier this year. It’s nice to see the superb music of the show (put together by mega-producer T-Bone Burnett) take on a life outside of the television set.
