British jazz-fusion group The New Mastersounds have just announced that they’ll coming stateside this fall. The quartet will kick things off on September 3 at the Traif Music Hall in Buffalo, and then head on to shows in Washington D.C., Kentucky, Upstate New York, Portland, ME, and Boston. They’ll then play a four-show run at Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn from September 10 to September 13 (the last day will feature an early kids show and a late show). After that, it’s on to Pittsburg, Raleigh, and Roseland, VA. They’ll finish up at Mike Dianna’s Grill Room in Corolla, NC, on October 11.

A familiar presence of the European jazz-fushion scene, The New Mastersounds are known for their funk-influenced sound, as well as their members’ vast collaborations with many other musicians. Since first forming in the late 90s, the group has released two-dozen singles and over a dozen different albums. Their current lineup consists of guitarist Eddie Roberts, drummer Simon Allen, bassist Pete Shand, and keyboardist Joe Tatton.
