UPDATE: New London Tour Dates

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, set to kick off a North American tour in March, have announced plans to head to the United Kingdom for a series of five shows in October and November. Quite a ways off but the dates are part of a larger European tour. It will be their first dates back in the United Kingdom since earlier in the week when they played their new album Push The Sky Away in its entirety at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London.

The new tour dates will take place as follows: October 26 and October 27 at the Hammersmith Apollo in London; October 30 in Manchester at the O2 Apollo; October 31 in Glasgow at Barrowland and November 1 in Edinburgh at Usher Hall.

Tickets for these five shows are on sale February 15.

UPDATE: Primavera Sound Festival

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds are keeping busy with the news, whether it is news about the soon-to-be-released new album, tour dates or festival appearances, there is always something new to report to the masses. Not a bad thing for fans at all. The latest news comes with the band announcing they will be on the bill for the Portuguese edition of the Primavera Sound Festival, set to take place May 30 through June 1 at the Parque de Cidade in Porto.

The Spanish version of the festival takes place the weekend before in Barcelona from May 22 through May 25.

Joining Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds on the bill are Blur, My Bloody Valentine, Grizzly Bear, The Breeders and many more acts.

UPDATE: Coachella

Talk about a great way to showcase a new album. With a new album Push The Sky Away scheduled for release on February 18, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have been added to one of the largest music festivals here in the United States – Coachella. I’m sure they will be playing new tunes from the album as well as fan favorites from the catalog.

Set to take place April 12-14 and April 19-21 in Indio, California, the festival will feature the Australian band on April 14 and April 21, the Sunday night of each weekend. The band joins the headliners scheduled to perform throughout the festival – The Stone Roses, Blur, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Phoenix.

Tickets for Coachella go on sale January 29.

UPDATE

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have announced some exciting plans for their fans with the release of their new album Push The Sky Away.

The band will play the entire new album with a live choir and strings on the following dates, in the following cities and in the following venues:
February 10 – London, UK – Her Majesty Theatre
February 11 – Paris, France – Le Trianon
February 13 – Berlin, Germany – Admiral Palace
February 21 – Los Angeles, CA – Fonda Theatre

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have announced an expanded North American trek in 2013 in support of their latest album “Push The Sky Away,” which is due out on February 18. The March and April shows have the collective visiting Dallas, Nashville, Asheville, Glenside, North Bethesda, Montreal, Toronto, Boston, New York, Chicago and Denver. The North American shows come after an excursion through Australia in late February and early March.

With the news of the pending new album comes the announcement of one live show in North America to support the new tunes, with the potential for more on the horizon. On April 16, the Australian band is set to play Humphrey’s Concerts By The Sea in San Diego, CA. According to NME, the date of the concert has sparked rumors that the band will also be playing the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which next year takes place over two weekends, April 12-14 and 19-21, also in California.
