Pop-rock outfit Phantogram (did you know they originally called themselves Charlie Everywhere) released their sophomore album, Voices, earlier this year, and they’ve been spending the better part of the year touring in support of it. The next few months will be no different, with the band announcing even more North American tour dates for the summer and fall. Having kicked their shows off on June 16 at Terminal 5 in New York City, Phantogram will visit Boston, MA; Providence, RI; Norfolk, VA; Quebec City, QC; Chicago, IL (for Lollapalooza); Monterey, CA (for First City Festival); Memphis, TN; New Orleans, LA; Austin, TX (for both weekends of Austin City Limits); and Atlanta, GA. The final show on the road will be at Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club on October 20. Tickets for some shows are on sale now, so check Phantogram’s website for on-sale dates and times.

Phantogram, consisting of Josh Carter on vocals and guitar and Sarah Barthel on vocals and keyboards, was formed in 2007 in Greenwich, NY. Where did they get their name? A phantogram is an optical illusion—it’s a two-dimensional image that appears to be three-dimensional. The band has released two studio albums, four EPs, and eight singles in their fairly short tenure.
