Phoenix Tour

French rockers Phoenix are taking advantage of their time in the U.S. this summer—sandwiched between their sets at Governors Ball in New York City and Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN, they’ve added some more shows, making up a short summer tour. After Governors Ball, Phoenix will head down to Washington, D.C. for a show at Echostage, then head to Montreal, QC; Toronto, ON; and Detroit, MI, before ending their U.S. run at Bonnaroo. Opening will be The Strokes-guitarist-gone-solo Albert Hammond, Jr. Tickets for both festivals and all shows are on sale now, but this run is limited, so scoop them up while they last.

Made up of vocalist Thomas Mars, bassist Deck d’Arcy, and guitarist Chris Mazzalai, Phoenix got their start playing as a garage band based out of Mars’ house in the suburbs of Paris. Mazzalai’s older brother, Laurent Brancowitz, joined the band in 1995, and they took on the Phoenix name two years later. Their debut album, United, was released in 2000. Phoenix is a darling on the festival circuit, having played shows at Austin City Limits Music Festival, Coachella Music Festival, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza Music Festival, Reading and Leeds Festivals, Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival, and more.
