The synth-y, sultry and secretive as hell duo, Rhye, has announced plans to retake the stage for at least a couple of shows in 2014. Following the release of singles “Open” and “The Fall,” without much hype they managed to make quite the splash last year as well as earn themselves a position in the SeatGeek spotlight. The rest of the year was relatively quiet for Rhye, with singer Milosh focusing on some solo work and partner Robin Hannibal continuing to work on the Quadron project which initially brought them together.

The currently announced shows for Rhye will take place on back to back nights in Boston and New York City, respectively. The two will play Royale Boston on February 20 and Webster Hall in NYC February 21. In all likelihood, fans will get to see Rhye’s music brought to life with a talented live band supporting Milosh and Hannibal, as was the case in their sold out live shows in spring 2013, and August’s Outside Lands Festival. Now that fans have been assured that the R&B, soft-pop Rhye produces is the work of talented musicians and not merely a production magic trick, expect demand to be through the roof for these two shows & any other ones that may be announced.
