Singer-songwriter/pop rock pianist Sara Bareilles has just announced her Little Black Dress tour, which will take place this summer. The “Love Song” singer will kick things off at the Chicago Theater in Chicago on July 10 and then make her way to the Northeast through Ohio and Virginia with shows in Boston on July 15, Philadelphia on July 16, and New York on July 19. Sara will then head South, playing Raleigh, NC, on July 22 and the Chastain Park Amphitheater in Atlanta on July 23, followed by a couple shows in Florida, then turning around and going North through North Carolina, Ohio and Tennessee and onto shows throughout the Midwest. She’ll eventually hit Portland, OR, on August 5 and then play down the West coast, finishing up the tour at the Greek Theater in Berkeley, CA on August 14.
Although she’d already had one studio album under her belt, Sara Bareilles broke though to mega mainstream success with her debut single for a major label, “Love Song” off of her 2007 album Little Voice, which became one of the songs of the year. Her follow up album, 2010’s Kaleidoscope Heart, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, while last year’s The Blessed Unrest debuted at number two. Bareilles was also a judge on NBC’s a cappella singing competition show The Sing-Off during its third season.
