Superchunk Tour 2013

Well, here’s a bit of a paradox for you: Indie punk-rock band Superchunk have just announced plans to debut a new album, full of new music, which they’ve decided to name I Hate Music. Sounds perfectly punk. To go along with the record’s release, Superchunk will also embark on a North American tour. Sounds promotionally perfect.

Superchunk’s latest round of dates in support of I Hate Music, their 10th studio effort, will kick off this June in Calgary, AB. They’ll take July off, then get back in the swing of performing live shows come August, when they’ll play three dates down South: in Atlanta, Asheville and Carrboro, on the the 22nd, 23rd and 24th, respectively. Come September, Superchunk will visit a few West Coast and East Coast venues, including those in Washington, California, New York, and Washington, D.C. Tickets to a bunch of these performances are now on sale, but as we’re still a good month away from Superchunk’s tour opener, be sure to check back here in the coming weeks to see if even more discount deals become available!
