DJ extraordinaire Bassnectar is at it again—he’s just announced plans for Bass Center NYC, an off-shoot of his massively successful Bass Center shows (the first took place in 2010 at the First Bank Center in Broomfield, CO). It’s set to take place on October 4 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Since the initial announcement weeks ago, more details have been revealed: Bass Center VIII will feature musical acts Big Gigantic, Rusko and Paper Diamond.

From the horse’s mouth:

In addition to pulling out all the stops, our entire team has bent over backwards to design a scenario that is as affordable as possible, so you and all your friends can come join in the madness. We don’t have big sponsors, we don’t have fancy bottle service, we aren’t show-boating you, we are going completely raw, punk rock & completely wild style on this event to provide tickets at the most affordable price possible while still raising the bar sky high and delivering the sickest show we have ever put together!!!! So bring your team, plan your weekend, and come be a part of the largest Bass Center event to date: the kick off to our 2014 Noise VS Beauty Tour.

Bassnectar remains one of the most active DJs on the festival circuit—in fact, he’s known particularly for his live performances. He’s been touring pretty much continuously since 2005, with sets at big-name fests like Camp Bisco, Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Forest Festival, Lollapalooza, and more. He’s good at it, too—in 2012, Bassnectar sold over 250,000 tickets to his shows, and that’s not even counting festival dates. His followers, of which there are obviously many, are dubbed “Bassheads.” Click here to read about his full fall tour taking place throughout the U.S.
