lincoln financial field seating chartNFL tickets can be extraordinarily expensive. In fact, they average the highest among all 4 major sports leagues. This is why fans tend to get pretty upset when their team decides to raise prices, which is exactly what happened in 2010 when 18 teams (more than half the league) did just that. Well fortunately for fans this year, the trend has shifted in the other direction, slightly… Sean Leahy reported earlier this year that at least 16 teams had chosen not to raise ticket prices for the 2011 season, saying:

With the ugly cloud of a labor dispute hovering over the NFL, an early trend is emerging with regard to ticket sales for next season: The lack of price increases.

Some teams are even lowering ticket prices! Even with this trend, a handful of teams including the Super Bowl Champion Packers have still decided to raise prices (perhaps justifiably so for the Packers). I have presented each NFL team underneath their respective buckets below: Same prices, lowered prices or raised prices.

Which NFL teams are keeping prices the same in 2011?

  • New Orleans Saints (except for Plaza seats)
  • Cincinnati Bengals
  • Detriot Lions
  • Houston Texans
  • New England Patriots
  • Philadelphia Eagles
  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Tennesee Titans
  • Washington Redskins
  • New York Giants
  • Denver Broncos
  • Buffalo Bills

NFL Teams lowering ticket prices

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • San Diego Chargers
  • Cleveland Browns
  • Arizona Cardinals

NFL Teams raising ticket prices

  • Chicago Bears
  • St. Louis Rams
  • Green Bay Packers
