Kauffman Stadium Events

Kauffman Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals, was opened in 1973 and is one of the older ballparks in Major League Baseball. At 39 years old, it is the sixth-oldest stadium in Major League Baseball. Kauffman Stadium recently underwent a $250 million renovation, which began after the 2007 season and was completed in July 2009. (source:Wikipedia)

Kauffman Stadium is strictly a baseball venue with no real significant events having taken place outside of the game. This past season it hosted the 2012 MLB All Star Game.

In its history, the ballpark has seen Nolan Ryan throw his first of seven career no-hitters and has seen the Royals capture the World Series crown back in 1985.
