The 2010 NBA All Star game was held at Cowboys Stadium which drew a record setting crowd of around 109,000 and tickets for game averaged $255 a piece.  This year, the NBA All Star Game is being held in Los Angeles at the Staples Center with a max capacity of 19,000, around 1/6 of the max capacity of Cowboys Stadium. We are seeing astronomical tickets prices for the 2011 All Star Game, averaging $1,315 per ticket on the secondary ticket market, an increase of 415% over the 2010 All Star Game ticket prices.  Even the cheapest ticket for the event will cost you a pretty penny, $705 to sit in section 305.  The high ticket prices are attributed to the fact that demand for All Star Game tickets if far exceeding the supply and the event taking place in a LA where high ticket prices are practically the norm.
